rebreathers

Closed-circuit dive gear

Rebreathers are diving apparatus that recycle exhaled breath by removing carbon dioxide and adding oxygen, allowing divers to stay underwater longer than with conventional scuba tanks.

Unlike open-circuit systems that release bubbles, rebreathers produce few or no bubbles, making them favored by military divers, underwater photographers, and technical divers exploring deep wrecks or caves.
