dive teams
Subaquatic search groups
Dive teams are groups of trained divers who work together on underwater operations—typically search and rescue, recovery of bodies or evidence, or inspection of submerged structures.
Law enforcement agencies, fire departments, and military units maintain dive teams for emergencies: The sheriff's dive team searched the lake for the missing kayaker.
The term also applies to recreational or scientific diving groups organized for specific projects.
