Anti-government armed groups
Rebel factions are organized groups within a larger rebellion that have their own leadership, goals, or methods.
The term appears frequently in news coverage of civil wars and insurgencies, where multiple groups may oppose the same government but differ on ideology or strategy: Rebel factions control different regions of the country.
