Firestone

Rubber company name

Firestone is an American tire company, now a subsidiary of Bridgestone, whose name appears on tires, auto service centers, and racing sponsorships: I need to get my Firestones rotated.

The word also refers to a stone that can withstand high heat, used in furnaces and fireplaces, or historically, a flint used to strike fire.
