race bib
Marathoner's pinned identifier
A race bib is the numbered piece of paper or fabric worn by participants in running races, triathlons, and similar athletic events, typically pinned to the chest or shorts for identification and timing purposes: Don't forget to pick up your race bib at packet pickup.
The number allows officials to track finishers and often contains a timing chip.
