punker

Safety-pin rocker

A punker is a punk—someone involved in punk rock culture, typically with the associated style: mohawks, leather jackets, safety pins, combat boots.

The -er suffix adds a casual, slightly dismissive tone, as if naming a type rather than describing an identity: Some punker was hassling people outside the venue.

Less common than punk alone.
