slam dancing
Aggressive concert movement
Slam dancing is an aggressive style of dancing at punk and metal concerts where participants deliberately collide with each other in a mosh pit.
Dancers throw themselves into one another, often violently, as a physical expression of the music's intensity: The slam dancing got so rough that security had to intervene.
Despite the apparent chaos, there's typically an unspoken code—helping up anyone who falls.
