pulse wave
Blood pressure ripple
A pulse wave is the pressure wave that travels through arteries each time the heart beats, distinct from actual blood flow.
In physics and electronics, it describes a waveform that alternates sharply between two levels—a square wave being the simplest example.
Musicians use pulse wave oscillators to generate bright, hollow tones in synthesizers.
