wavetable
Digital audio source
A wavetable is a digital audio technique that stores sampled waveforms in a table, allowing synthesizers to generate sounds by reading through and interpolating between them.
Wavetable synthesis creates rich, evolving timbres by morphing between different wave shapes: The synth's wavetable engine produces everything from warm pads to harsh leads.
The term appears both as one word and two.
