LFO
Synth modulation generator
LFO stands for low-frequency oscillator, a component in synthesizers and audio equipment that generates slow, cyclical waveforms to modulate other parameters.
An LFO might control pitch to create vibrato, filter cutoff for a sweeping effect, or volume for tremolo.
The frequency is typically below the range of human hearing—hence "low-frequency"—usually from a fraction of a hertz to around 20 Hz.
I set the LFO to modulate the filter for that classic wobble bass sound.
