prong collar
Spiky dog collar
A prong collar is a dog training collar with metal links that have blunt prongs pointing inward toward the dog's neck.
When the leash tightens, the prongs pinch the skin, creating discomfort meant to discourage pulling.
Also called a pinch collar.
Controversial among trainers—some consider it effective, others view it as inhumane.
