processionals

Formal entrance marches

Processionals are hymns or musical pieces played during a formal procession, especially as clergy and choir enter a church at the start of a service: The organist began the processional as the wedding party walked down the aisle.

The term also refers to books containing such hymns and the liturgical texts for processions.

As an adjective, processional describes anything relating to or used in a procession.
