Elgar

Elgar refers to Sir Edward Elgar (1857–1934), the English composer best known for the *Pomp and Circumstance* marches, one of which provides the melody for "Land of Hope and Glory" and accompanies countless graduation ceremonies.

His orchestral works, including the Enigma Variations and cello concerto, established him as a major figure in late Romantic music.
