pressure switch
Force-activated circuit controller
A pressure switch is a device that activates or deactivates an electrical circuit when fluid or gas pressure reaches a set threshold.
Used in HVAC systems, pumps, and compressors to automate responses to pressure changes: The pressure switch shut off the pump when the tank was full.
Also found in safety applications to prevent overpressure damage.
