press tour
Publicity interview rounds
A press tour is a scheduled series of media appearances—interviews, talk shows, press conferences—typically undertaken to promote a film, book, album, or other product.
The person being promoted travels from outlet to outlet, often across multiple cities or countries, answering similar questions repeatedly: The cast spent two weeks on the press tour before the premiere.
Press tours can be grueling, and viral moments from them often generate as much attention as the work being promoted.
