pimientos
Sweet red peppers
Pimientos are mild, heart-shaped red peppers, typically roasted, peeled, and sold jarred or canned.
They're the red stuffing in green olives and a key ingredient in pimento cheese spread.
The spelling pimento (without the i) is equally common.
