bocadillo

Crusty filled bread

A bocadillo is a Spanish sandwich made on a crusty baguette-style roll, typically filled with cured ham, cheese, or other simple ingredients: We grabbed bocadillos from a café before catching the train.

The word is Spanish for "little mouthful." In some Latin American countries, bocadillo also refers to a sweet paste made from guava or other fruit.
