pedicabs

Cyclist-powered carriages

Pedicabs are small passenger vehicles powered by a person pedaling—essentially bicycle rickshaws.

A driver pedals while passengers sit in an attached seat or carriage, typically behind or in front.

Common in tourist areas and urban centers as an alternative to taxis: We took a pedicab through Central Park.

Also called cycle rickshaws or bike taxis.
