Central Park Zoo
NYC animal attraction
Central Park Zoo is a small zoo in Manhattan's Central Park, operated by the Wildlife Conservation Society.
It houses about 130 species in naturalistic habitats organized by climate zones.
The zoo gained pop-culture recognition through the animated *Madagascar* films, whose penguin characters plot their escape from it: We're going to the Central Park Zoo this weekend.
