pantry moth

Kitchen grain infestation

A pantry moth is a small moth whose larvae infest stored dry goods—flour, rice, cereals, nuts, and pet food.

The tan or gray adults flutter around kitchens; the real damage comes from the worm-like larvae that contaminate food with webbing and waste.

Also called Indian meal moth.
