mealworm
Reptile snack food
A mealworm is the larval form of a darkling beetle, commonly raised as food for pet reptiles, birds, and fish.
The yellowish-brown segmented larvae are also increasingly promoted as a sustainable protein source for humans: Mealworms can be roasted, ground into flour, or eaten whole.
