outer darkness
Beyond all light
Outer darkness is a biblical phrase for the place of final punishment—the realm beyond God's light where the condemned are cast.
In Mormon theology, it specifically designates the fate of those who utterly reject God after receiving full knowledge.
More broadly, outer darkness describes any state of complete exclusion or spiritual exile: cast into outer darkness, banished to outer darkness.
