youth councils
Young people's committees
Youth councils are advisory bodies composed of young people, typically teenagers, that provide input to government agencies, schools, or organizations on issues affecting youth.
They give young people a formal voice in policy discussions and community decisions: The city's youth council recommended expanding after-school programs.
Members usually serve fixed terms and may be elected or appointed.
