oneshots
Not recurring episodes
Oneshots are self-contained creative works complete in a single installment—a fanfiction story, a tabletop RPG session, or a comic that doesn't continue into a series.
The term emphasizes completeness without commitment: I mostly write oneshots because I never finish longer projects.
In gaming, a oneshot is a session requiring no prior knowledge or future attendance.
