olio
Miscellaneous motley collection
An olio is a miscellaneous mixture or hodgepodge.
The word comes from a Spanish stew containing various meats and vegetables, and extends to any jumbled collection: an olio of ideas, an olio of musical styles.
In older theatrical usage, an olio was a variety act or medley performed between main features.
