nu-disco

Modern disco update

Nu-disco is a genre of dance music emerging in the early 2000s that revives and updates the sounds of 1970s and 80s disco—funky basslines, lush strings, and four-on-the-floor beats—with modern electronic production techniques.

The style often has a warmer, more organic feel than other electronic genres: The DJ dropped some nu-disco tracks and the whole vibe shifted.
