nonflammable
Resistant to combustion
Nonflammable means not capable of catching fire or burning under normal conditions.
The term appears on labels and safety materials to indicate materials that won't ignite: nonflammable cleaning solution, Store in a nonflammable container.
Synonymous with inflammable's opposite, though inflammable confusingly means flammable—nonflammable exists partly to avoid that ambiguity.
