Spinning barrel weapons
A minigun is a rapid-fire rotary machine gun with multiple rotating barrels, capable of firing thousands of rounds per minute.
The design prevents overheating by distributing heat across barrels.
Despite the name, miniguns are large weapons typically mounted on helicopters, vehicles, or fixed positions—"mini" only relative to earlier rotary cannons.
