Consecutive combat eliminations

A killstreak is a consecutive series of kills in a video game without dying, or the reward unlocked by achieving one.

Many multiplayer shooters grant escalating bonuses—airstrikes, enhanced weapons, radar—as killstreaks grow: I got a seven killstreak and called in a helicopter.

The term has spread to any impressive run of success: She's on a killstreak in her interviews.
