metahuman
Beyond normal abilities
Metahuman refers to a human with abilities beyond normal human limits—superhuman strength, telepathy, flight, or similar powers.
The term appears primarily in comic books, games, and science fiction, where it categorizes characters who have transcended ordinary human capabilities through mutation, accident, or technology: The metahuman threat required a new kind of response.
Unlike superhero, metahuman is neutral—it includes villains and ordinary people with extraordinary abilities.
