manometers

Fluid pressure measurers

Manometers are instruments for measuring the pressure of gases or liquids.

The simplest type uses a U-shaped tube partially filled with liquid—pressure differences cause the liquid levels to shift, and the difference in height indicates pressure.

More broadly, any device that measures pressure in a contained system: The technician checked the manometers on the gas line.
