lyncher
Extrajudicial execution perpetrator
A lyncher is someone who participates in a lynching—the extrajudicial killing of a person by a mob, historically by hanging.
The term carries the full weight of that violence: The lynchers left the body hanging as a warning.
In American history, lynchers were predominantly white mobs who murdered Black people, often with community knowledge and impunity.
