lug nut
Rim attachment hardware
A lug nut is a heavy nut that fastens a wheel to a vehicle's axle.
Most cars have four or five lug nuts per wheel, tightened in a star pattern to ensure even pressure: I stripped one of the lug nuts trying to change the tire.
Removing lug nuts typically requires a lug wrench or impact driver.
