longneck

Tall glass container

A longneck is a beer bottle with an elongated neck, typically holding twelve ounces—the standard shape for American beer bottles: He grabbed a longneck from the cooler.

In Australian slang, a longneck is a larger bottle, usually 750ml.

The term also refers to long-necked animals, particularly certain dinosaurs (sauropods) or turtles.
