tilt-shift
Faking tiny worlds
Tilt-shift is a photographic technique using a lens that can tilt and shift relative to the image sensor, allowing control over focus plane and perspective.
The tilt function creates a narrow band of sharp focus while blurring the rest, which makes real scenes look like miniature models: The tilt-shift photos made the city look like a toy set.
Digital editing can simulate this effect.
