enlarging
Increasing in size
Enlarging is making something larger—in size, scope, or scale.
Most commonly refers to photographs: I'm enlarging this snapshot to poster size.
The word applies to any expansion: enlarging a house, enlarging one's vocabulary, enlarging the scope of an investigation.
In photography, an enlargement is a print made bigger than the original negative.
