landing site
Where planes stop
A landing site is a designated or suitable location where aircraft, spacecraft, or other vehicles touch down.
The term appears most often in aviation and space exploration: NASA selected three potential landing sites for the Mars rover.
It can also describe any place chosen for arrival or deployment: The paratroopers identified their landing site from the air.
