isobars
Equal-pressure map lines
Isobars are lines on a weather map connecting points of equal atmospheric pressure.
Meteorologists use them to visualize pressure systems—closely spaced isobars indicate steep pressure gradients and strong winds, while widely spaced ones suggest calm conditions.
In chemistry and physics, isobars are atoms of different elements with the same mass number but different atomic numbers.
