isotherms
Lines of equal warmth
Isotherms are lines on a map or chart connecting points of equal temperature.
Weather maps use isotherms to show temperature patterns across regions: The isotherms dipped southward, indicating a cold front.
In physics and chemistry, an isotherm describes a process occurring at constant temperature, as in graphs showing gas behavior under pressure changes.
