invoices
Itemized billing documents
Invoices are itemized bills requesting payment for goods or services.
A business sends an invoice after delivering what was promised, specifying amounts owed, due dates, and payment terms.
To invoice someone is to send them such a bill: We invoice clients at the end of each month.
In accounting, invoices serve as records of transactions between buyer and seller.
