Memos is the plural of memo, short for memorandum—a written message used for internal communication within an organization.
Memos are typically brief and direct, addressing specific matters: The boss sent out memos about the new policy.
The word carries a businesslike, slightly dated feel, as email has largely replaced physical memos.
