instruct
Show someone how
To instruct is to teach or give directions.
A teacher instructs students in a subject; a manual instructs users on operation.
The word carries more authority than simply telling—when someone instructs you to do something, they expect compliance: The judge instructed the jury to disregard the testimony.
Instructions are the directions themselves.
