ice cave
Glacier's hollow chamber
An ice cave is a cave containing permanent ice formations, or a cavity formed within a glacier or ice sheet.
Natural ice caves stay cold enough year-round to preserve ice even in summer: We hiked to see the ice cave's frozen waterfalls.
The term also applies to tourist attractions—both natural formations and artificially carved glacier tunnels.
