hypoperfusion
Blood supply deficit
Hypoperfusion is inadequate blood flow to an organ or tissue, resulting in insufficient oxygen and nutrient delivery.
The condition can affect specific organs—cerebral hypoperfusion damages the brain, renal hypoperfusion impairs the kidneys—or the entire body during shock or cardiac failure.
Prolonged hypoperfusion leads to tissue damage and organ dysfunction.
Insufficient tissue blood supply
- hypoxiaInsufficient tissue oxygenation
- anoxiaAbsence of oxygen supply
- vasoconstrictionArterial walls contracting inward
- hypotensionAbnormally reduced arterial pressure
Localized cell death
- infarctionTissue necrosis from ischemia
