hydrogen-1

Single-proton atomic nucleus

Hydrogen-1 is the most common isotope of hydrogen, comprising over 99.98% of naturally occurring hydrogen.

Its nucleus contains a single proton and no neutrons, making it the only stable nuclide with no neutrons.

Also called protium, it distinguishes the ordinary hydrogen atom from heavier isotopes like deuterium and tritium.
