transuranics
Beyond uranium's number
Transuranics are chemical elements with atomic numbers greater than 92—heavier than uranium on the periodic table.
All transuranics are radioactive and unstable, with most existing only briefly in laboratory conditions.
Plutonium and neptunium are the best known; heavier ones like californium and einsteinium have increasingly short half-lives.
The reactor produced transuranics as byproducts.
