homograft
Same-species transplant
A homograft is tissue transplanted from one individual to another of the same species—a kidney from one human to another, for example.
The term distinguishes such grafts from autografts (tissue moved within the same body) and xenografts (tissue from a different species).
Also called allograft.
The patient received a homograft from a compatible donor.
