heterosexism
Orientation-based social bias
Heterosexism is the assumption that heterosexuality is normal or superior, with corresponding discrimination against gay, lesbian, and bisexual people.
Unlike homophobia, which implies active fear or hatred, heterosexism describes systemic bias—policies, institutions, and social norms that treat straight relationships as the default: The company's heterosexism showed in benefits that covered spouses but not same-sex partners.
