hemp hearts
Hulled cannabis seeds
Hemp hearts are the soft inner kernels of hemp seeds, with the crunchy outer shell removed.
They have a mild, nutty flavor and are eaten raw, often sprinkled on salads, yogurt, or smoothies for their protein and omega fatty acids: I add hemp hearts to my morning oatmeal.
