animal-free
Without living beings
Animal-free describes products, processes, or environments that contain no animal-derived ingredients or involve no animal exploitation.
The term appears most often in discussions of food, cosmetics, and research: animal-free dairy made from precision fermentation, animal-free testing methods.
It differs from "cruelty-free," which may still use animal products obtained without harm.
